Recent Case Victory Defending Against Felony Aggravated Burglary

Recently, our firm represented a client who was facing an aggravated burglary felony charge, that would result in 11 years of prison. One of our founding attorneys, Thomas DiCaudo, represented the client in court, where the client was asked to plead guilty if the charges were reduced. After sitting down with the client, Mr. DiCaudo had to inform the Prosecutor's Office that they were going to politely decline the offer. From there the case went forward to the preliminary hearing, where the judge dismissed the felony charges and ruled in favor of our client. At this hearing, the Prosecutor asked our client to plead guilty to misdemeanor assault charges instead, but after careful consideration, Mr. DiCaudo also rejected their offer on behalf of the client. The case eventually went to pretrial, where Attorney DiCaudo was able to confer with a new prosecutor. After building a compelling case, the prosecution lowered the charges again to a fourth degree misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.

The case was resolved to where our client was only left with a fine and court costs. Here is yet another case that ended favorably for our client.
