Benjamin Sorber: A Brief Profile
Benjamin Sorber has been an attorney with DiCaudo, Pitchford & Yoder since 2014 when he graduated with a J.D. for the University of Akron School of Law. Before attending law school, Mr. Sorber, studied at Binghamton University, earning a Bachelors of Arts in English and Political Science in 2011.
As a law student, Mr. Sorber worked for the Summit County Public Defender’s Office. He also had the honor of clerking for the Honorable Judge Jerry K. Larson, Presiding Judge of Akron Municipal Court. There Mr. Sorber assisted Judge Larson with traffic violations, misdemeanors, and civil matters including debt collection actions and land-lord tenant cases.
Since he began practice as an associate attorney at our firm, Mr. Sorber’s has accomplished valuable and commendable work that can only come from a keen mind with an undying determination and work ethic worthy of a Rising Star.

How Super Lawyers Selects Rising Stars
Super Lawyers Rising Stars must meet strict criteria for selection. Eligible candidates must be either 40 years old or younger or have only practiced law for less than 10 years. Rising Stars are nominated by one of their peers or is independently recognized by Super Lawyers’ research department.
Super Lawyers’ research department then evaluates nominees based on 12 criteria for peer recognition and professional achievement. The highest-rated candidates based on this criteria are evaluated by a blue ribbon panel of their peers. Finalists are then organized into firm-size categories and selected. Only 5% of lawyers in the state end up being selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers.
