Brittany Fitzgibbon

Bio

Those that know Brittany well were never surprised she pursued a career in the legal field. From advocating for her clients in multiple forums to protecting her client’s reputation and social media presence, Brittany regularly leads by example. Being in the collections industry for more than a decade, Brittany has the experience and organized ability to handle a high-paced volume practice while maintain impeccable attention to detail.

Brittany began her legal career working for a consumer’s attorney – before moving into other areas of law, including employment, insurance defense, and malpractice –  before settling back into creditor’s rights. Normally when her clients approach her, they are normally struggling to collect a debt from a consumer or a business which has defaulted on a variety of obligations such as credit cards, loans, leases, or equipment rental – just to name a few. She provides a thorough review and assessment of the facts and counsels them on the client’s options and processes and highlights any foreseeable legal pitfalls that may be encountered during the litigation or post-judgment enforcement process. In the end, Brittany’s dedication and knowledge is an essential element for success in the creditor’s right’s arena.

Recently joining DPY, Brittany chairs the firm’s Collections Practice Group, handling a variety of collections-related litigation and managing the day-to-day operations of the practice group and its team.

Growing up in Hinckley – a small township in Medina County, Ohio – Brittany has always been a die-hard Cleveland sports fan. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and is an animal lover. Brittany lives in Strongsville, Ohio with her family, their three four-legged fur babies, and an array of other household pets. While she attempts to garden and keep her house plants alive, the jury is still out on those skills.
