DiCaudo & Yoder Obtains Not Guilty Verdict On Aggravated Murder
March 1, 2013
Following a week-long trial in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas, DiCaudo, Pitchford & Yoder Attorney J. Reid Yoder was successful in securing a jury verdict of Not Guilty for a client charged with Aggravated Murder. Had the client been convicted, he would have been facing life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Attorney Yoder’s client was also indicted for Murder, however, the jury was hung on this charge. A hung, or deadlocked jury, is one that is unable to unanimously agree upon a verdict after an extended period of deliberation. The fact that the jury was hung means that Attorney Yoder was successful in convincing the jurors that the client was not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
